A few months ago, we finished stage three of our cottage renovations and it feels good to be finished but also kind of sad because there are no more exciting projects to look forward to. Anyway, today I am going to reveal the main bathroom. It wasn’t too bad before but you had to enter it from the kitchen and you also had to walk through it to the third bedroom, which was very weird. The person in the bedroom could get trapped in there if someone was using the bathroom.
So we closed in the doors to the kitchen and to the bedroom and created doors for both rooms out into the hall. To make space for the door in the bathroom, we had to demolish the large glass-brick-enclosed shower and put in a classic corner one. It was also a dark room, so we put in a spectacularly successful skylight.
Below are the before, then the “in-progress” and finally the after photos.

Spectacular! Beautiful job, Suzanne.
Thanks. I have loved renovating this cottage. It takes me back to the early days out on the farm opposite Marma’s and Parpa’s house. Same kind of era.
